
This 6-day private Atlas mountains guided trek allows you to experience the most amazing views at sunrise from the summit of Mount Toubkal. Climb to the summit while exploring some of the most spectacular places including the Valley of Imlil, the Toubkal Massif, and the peak of Jebel Toubkal.
Depart from your hotel and drive to Imi-Oughlad to meet the team: carriers, cook, and mules. Trek through the Valley Imenane, rise over Tizi n'Lbour, descend to Imeskar village for lunch. Continue through walnut groves, an easy climb to village Tinghar, then onward to the small village of Gliz.
A short climb to cross Tizi-n-Oukaimden through juniper forest with magnificent views over the Valley Ousrtik and distant Toubkal peaks. Pass the Oukaimeden ski station at 3,700m — the highest in North Africa. Descend to Tachdirth for overnight.
Trek down the Assif Imnane Valley, passing through several Berber hamlets up to Tizi n'Aguersiwal (2,000m). Descend to Aguersiwal village for lunch, then continue up the Valley of Matat.
A 6-hour trek out of the Matat Valley into the Azzadene Valley. Pass Tizi Oudite at 2,250m, Ait Aissa Village, Tizi Oussem Village, and into Azib n'Tamsoult. Overnight at the mountain refuge at 2,300m.
A fairly stiff climb through Ighouliden waterfalls and over the Aguelzim Mountain pass at 3,560m. Lunch with spectacular Atlas views. Overnight at the Toubkal Refuge (Neltner Hut). Approximately 6 hours of trekking.
Up early for the climb to Toubkal (4,167m) with wonderful views over the Atlas Range and the Sahara Desert. A long descent past the refuge back to Imlil — 8–9 hours of trekking involving 900m up then 2,500m down. Transfer back to Marrakech, arriving around 5:00 pm.
